Customers deliver their worn, bent, or damaged crankshafts to our precision workshop for a complete evaluation.

Detailed Inspection and Scheduling
Each crankshaft undergoes a rigorous inspection process, including magnaflux testing for cracks, measuring journal wear and roundness, and checking for straightness. Based on this analysis, we devise a precise reconditioning plan and schedule the work with the customer.

Reconditioning Process
Merdeka Precision provides a full suite of crankshaft reconditioning services, including:
Crankshaft Grinding: Utilizing advanced grinding machines to accurately resize main and connecting rod journals to the next standard undersize, creating a perfectly round and true surface.
Micro-Polishing: Finishing the ground journals to an exceptionally smooth surface, which is critical for reducing friction, ensuring proper bearing lubrication, and extending engine life.
Crankshaft Straightening: Employing specialized presses to carefully correct any bends or runout, ensuring the crankshaft rotates perfectly true within the engine block.
Dynamic Balancing: Spinning the crankshaft on a computer-calibrated balancer to detect and correct any imbalances, eliminating harmful vibrations for a smoother, longer-lasting engine.
Journal Weld Repair: For journals with severe damage, we use specialized welding techniques to build up the surface before grinding it back to a precise dimension.

QC Inspection
Before any crankshaft leaves our facility, it must pass a final, meticulous quality inspection. Our QC team verifies all journal diameters, surface finishes, and straightness using calibrated instruments. We compare these final measurements against stringent OEM specifications to ensure every reconditioned crankshaft delivers the highest level of quality and performance.
